Word of Mouth Marketing
I just ordered a new book called "Word of Mouth Marketing" by George Silverman. The books looks to be very informative about how to use Word of Mouth marketing to build and grow your business. Inside the book he discusses some great topics as the power of word of mouth, dominating your niche, and what drives people to websites. I think this book is going to be a keeper when it comes to gaining understanding of how to move inside the market place and excel in ones business.

Promoting Too Much

Is promoting your product to often a problem? Promotions can be a bad thing if you constantly push your product or service to often on the public. Over exposure can be a problem when pushing a product to the public. McDonalds promotes commericals every so often. If you saw McDonalds commericals every ten minutes you would hate going to McDonalds because of the over exposure.

The term 99 billion served on the markee is there for a reason, because McDonalds doesn't push the brand to much on the public. They just put the image and commericals out there every so often and people come like herds of cattle.

Image by So Sylvie via Flickr The wrong audience and the wrong product equals the wrong marketing. Marketing to the correct niche and a group of people who want what you have to offer is important. When you market you good or service you don't want to be fishing in the wrong pond. When women go into the market place they don't have a broad agenda they market to group of specific people. When gays go into the market place they don't have a broad agenda they fight for specific rights according to Dr. Claude Anderson. Black folks have to market their goods in services to a specific group of people that want to by the goods and services they want.
